The Connecticut Office of Correction Ombudsman serves as an independent and impartial resource for individuals seeking assistance with issues related to the Connecticut Department of Correction (DOC). The Office can investigate complaints, monitor conditions, and advocate for systemic reforms within the state's correctional facilities to ensure that the rights and well-being of incarcerated individuals are respected.

The DDS Office of the Ombudsperson works in partnership with individuals, families, state agencies, and other stakeholders to help resolve challenges with the Department of Developmental Services.

Office of Early Childhood (OEC) Ombudsman: 860-996-0229 or Michelle.Cook@ct.gov
The OEC Ombudsman is a fair and confidential advocate who helps families and providers resolve problems with early childhood programs. She also focuses on ways to improve the state’s child care system.

The Office of the Victim Advocate (OVA), is an independent state agency that monitors and evaluates how victims are treated by the criminal justice system in Connecticut. When appropriate, the OVA may also initiate formal investigations into the circumstances of a complaint in order to remedy the concern in a systemic manner. Purpose: Child Protection Services ensures that children and indigent parents who require legal services and guardians ad litem in child protection, child custody and child support cases in Superior Court, receive high quality, competent and zealous representation.
