CT HEALTH CARE EXCHANGE SEEKING CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
(HARTFORD, CT) - The Connecticut Health Care Exchange is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its effort to increase access to affordable health coverage as part of the federal Affordable Care Act.
Chaired by Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman, the Exchange is a quasi-public entity governed by a 14-member Board of Directors. The Exchange by 2014 will offer individuals and businesses a choice of health coverage plans and the tools to compare those plans.
The CEO will be responsible for overseeing all Exchange business and working closely with its senior managers, staff and Board of Directors to define and execute its mission. The CEO also will be oversee the Exchange's health insurance programs, policy decisions that set coverage requirements for adults and employers statewide, enrollment and outreach initiatives and the annual administrative budget. Salary is negotiable and subject to Board approval.
