Imaging Inventory

The Healthscore CT Imaging Inventory is an important consumer tool that provides an interactive tool to help you locate and learn more about imaging services available in Connecticut. The Healthscore CT Imaging Inventory uses the Office of Health Strategy’s Statewide Health Care Facilities and Services Inventory to create an interactive tool to help you locate computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) imaging services in your community. The inventory allows you to search for imaging facilities by map or by table, and to define how far from home you’d like your search to extend.

The Healthscore CT Imaging Inventory also allows you to see how facilities and imaging equipment are distributed throughout different regions of the state, or to see how many scanners your hometown hospital or imaging center has. Data on utilization, how many scan performs, can also be examined on a statewide or local basis. The inventory tracks trends from 2018 – 2022 that show how use of these services has grown.

Remember, insurance plans vary significantly in how medical services are covered, how deductibles and co-pays impact your out-of-pocket costs, and in other details that may impact where you choose to receive services. Always check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage prior to receiving non-emergency healthcare services and your medical provider about costs.
