Attorney Kerry J. Robair specializes in civil and criminal litigation. He is partner of the Rivera Law Group, LLC., located in New Britain, presently a resident of Farmington, where he lives with his wife, and raised his four children. He started his legal career with the firm straight out of law school in 2000. He grew up in Bristol, graduating from Bristol Eastern High in 1987, Central Connecticut State University in 1996 and Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1999. He has held local office in Farmington as a two-term member of the Planning and Zoning Board and serves as a member of the Sexual Assault Criminal Justice Response Advisory Council (SACJR). On May 8th, 2026, the Honorable Joan K. Alexander appointed him to serve as a court Magistrate, with duties consisting of presiding over small claims, infractions and violations trials. When asked by Senate Minority Leader, Stephen Harding, to fill a vacant position as FOI Commissioner, Attorney Robair considered it a challenge of public service which he could not refuse. He understands the important role FOI serves and looks forward to helping the commission continue its vital role for the public.
