May 30, 2012
     The above-captioned matter was heard as contested case on March 12, 2012, at which time the complainant and the respondents appeared and presented testimony and argument on the complaint.
     On April 10, 2012, the complainant and the respondents filed a joint letter with the Commission requesting that the case be withdrawn. The respondents stated their agreement to abide by “the well-developed rules regarding caucuses”.
     The following orders by the Commission are hereby recommended on the basis of the record:
     1. Based on the withdrawal of the complaint, the case is hereby dismissed.
     2. The Commission commends the parties on having reached a settlement that may ease partisan political division in the Town of East Haven.
