     The above-captioned matter was heard as a contested case on October 20, 2014, at which time the complainants and the respondents appeared.  However, the hearing on the above-captioned matter was continued in order to name the Commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services as a party and to provide notice of the hearing in this matter pursuant to §1-210(d), G.S.
     For purposes of the hearing, this matter was consolidated with Docket #FIC 2014-064; Edward Peruta and American News and Information Services, Inc. v. Dora Schriro, Commissioner, State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection; and State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection; and Docket #FIC 2014-076; Edward Peruta and American News and Information Services, Inc. v. Dora Schriro, Commissioner, State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection; and State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection.
     A continued hearing in the above-captioned matter was scheduled to be heard on November 4, 2014. However, by letter dated October 31, 2014, the complainants indicated that they wished to withdraw the complaint.  The Commission takes administrative notice of the complainants’ October 31, 2014 letter of withdrawal.
     The following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned complaint:
     1.  The complaint is hereby dismissed.  The parties are commended for reaching an amicable resolution to the complaint in this matter.
