K-12 Education and Resources for Parents
Financial literacy lessons can start at a young age. Whether you’re a teacher, parent, or a mentor, you can be a part of ensuring the next generation had the financial literacy tools they need to be successful in life.
Below are some tools from both state and federal agencies that can support you in teaching the next generation:
- Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame Virtual Workshops for 4th-8th Graders
- Money as You Grow: Help for Parents and Caregivers (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau)
- Career and Technical Education / Personal Finance (State Department of Education)
Other Resources:
Young women in 10th-12th grades will explore the stories of the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame Inductees who were able to build financial security. Participants will leave with a better understanding of their past, its connection to the present, and ways to take an active role in shaping their future. The participants will participate in financial literacy workshops presented by contemporary financial role models from various financial institutions.
