Connecticut Veterans Affairs is dedicated to providing quality programming for CT's Veterans. Every year, Veterans Affairs hosts a slate of events to honor those who've served.

In addition to events on our yearly schedule, we will occasionally host or co-host other programming. Check below to see what other new, exciting events Veterans Affairs has planned for the months to come:

  • Veterans Coffee House 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. Coffee House Flyer

  • Black History Month Ceremony - Tuesday, February 24th at 10:00am in the Gold Star Families Memorial Auditorium. Black History Flyer

Commissioner Ron Welch invites the public to attend the Connecticut Veterans Affairs 2026 Black History Month Ceremony.  This year, we will welcome Stephanie Abrams, President and CEO of New England Air Museum, Rodneyna M. O. Hart, Interim Executive Director of The Amistad Center for Art and Culture, and Dr. Sheila Kearney, niece of Captain Mary Kearney of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.  The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:00am in our Gold Star Families Memorial Auditorium located at 287 West Street in Rocky Hill, CT.

Following the ceremony, a themed lunch in our Main Dining Room will be available for a $15.00 cash only purchase.
