Connecticut Veterans Affairs hosts many signature events throughout the year. Each event aims to recognize and honor our Connecticut Veterans, service members, and their families.

Honor the service and bravery of CT Veterans who served in Vietnam by recognizing every March 30th as Connecticut's official "Welcome Home Vietnan Veterans Day."
Connecticut Veterans Affairs Commissioner Ron Welch and the Middletown Council of Veterans will preside over a ceremony honoring military members who died while serving our country. The ceremony will take place on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 2:00pm. The public is encouraged to attend.
The DVA holds an annual event on Veterans Day to honor CT’s Veterans. This year, the holiday is on Tuesday, November 11, 2026.
