    The Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) administers the Title I Vocational Rehabilitation and Title VI Supported Employment (SE) programs of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. As of July 1, 2011, the newly-created Bureau of Rehabilitative Services is involved in an agency consolidation with the Board of Education and Services for the Blind, the Commission on the Deaf and Hearing Impaired, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, part of the Department of Social Services and part of the Workers Compensation Commission. The Division is responsible for providing benefit administration to include Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, Workplace Violence Prevention and Payroll services to over 1900 employees throughout the State.

  • HUSKY (Medicaid) Coverage for Breast and Cervical Cancer

    Medicaid Coverage for Breast and Cervical Cancer aims to support the health of women receiving breast and cervical cancer screenings and services by providing full Medicaid coverage for them. This program works in conjunction with the Department of Public Health’s Connecticut Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.

    Jobs First Employment Services, provided by the Department of Labor, are designed to rapidly move recipients of Temporary Family Assistance into employment and toward self-sufficiency.

  • Med-Connect (Medicaid for Employees with Disabilities)

    Medicaid for Employees with Disabilities, also known as MED-Connect, provides medical assistance to employed individuals with disabilities. Enrollees can earn up to $75,000 per year and qualify for full Medicaid/HUSKY Health coverage.

    SNAP Employment & Training is a skills-based program that provides short- term vocational programs at community colleges and community-based organizations.

    The Office For Veterans Workforce Development is a valuable resource to help Veterans and is part of the Connecticut Department of Labor.
