As we begin the holiday weekend, I want to recognize this special time which offers a time of renewal and reflection as well as an opportunity to gather with family and friends. Many religions observe holidays during the spring season to honor a time of rebirth and growth.
Good Friday is March 29 and is a day when Christians remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. On the third day, Easter Sunday is celebrated, and is the high holy day and foundation of the Christian faith. Easter is a Christian feast day that celebrates the resurrection of Christ as described in the New Testament.
