The Institute for Tobacco Education and Training offers trainings and workshops regarding tobacco use prevention and control for prevention specialists, health care providers, substance abuse providers, school employees, health educators, community organizers, policy makers, professionals working with people who use tobacco products and anyone interested in preventing the use of tobacco.

The Institute hosts speakers from around the country as well as locally who are experts in the field that provide the latest, up to date information available on tobacco use prevention and control. These trainings support tobacco prevention and control efforts by offering skills-building workshops designed to enhance current expertise and improve capacity to implement approaches and strategies at the community level.

One-day and multiple day workshops are held throughout the year.  Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) are generally available and one-day trainings are generally free of charge.
