Welcome to the webpage for Project No. 0109-0177, Construction of the Beeline Trail, Phase 4 in Plainville.
An in-person public informational meeting for the project was held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Plainville Public Library, Chase Auditorium, at 56 East Main Street in Plainville at 6:30 p.m. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. The meeting facility is ADA accessible.
The purpose of this project is to construct two miles of the Beeline Trail, a multi-use trail, along with streetscape and complete street improvements along East Main Street, Pine Street, and Woodford/White Oak Avenue. This will provide a connection between the future Phase 3 of the Beeline Trail and downtown Plainville.
Right-of-way impacts anticipated include partial acquisitions and easements to accommodate the proposed trail.
Construction is expected to start spring 2027, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $9 million, with 100% state funds.
