Data Analysis and Surveys

Request for Proposal 16DOTHSO-01

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) is seeking to retain a Data Analysis and Survey contractor firm to provide support the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Office (HSO) as part of the federally mandated Governor’s Highway Safety Program. The services provided by the selected firm shall include, but are not limited to, performing and reporting on data collection, analysis, observation surveys and attitude and awareness surveys during the calendar years of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. The contractor should have experience in designing and, submitting an (updated) accepted National Occupant Protection Use Surveys (NOPUS) Belt-use survey per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requirements. The contractor should also have experience in conducting Mobile Hand Held device use observation surveys similar to those conducted by NHTSA as part of national pilot research programs.

The assignment will cover a three (3) year period with an expected start in April of 2016.
