CONVERTING AN OWNED SPECIAL PROVISION

Owned Provision template rules!

  • SpecHead1 should be used for Title of Owned Provision
  • SpecHead2 should be used for Sub-Title or Article of Owned Provision

Instructions for converting an Owned Provision document to the "Owned" template

  1. Click the Owned Special Provision Template at the bottom of the page.
    • Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome will give the option to download and save the file in a prefer location.
  2. Click File/Open
  3. Select Special Provision Template file
  4. Select existing Special Provision file
  5. Click Edit/Select All
  6. Click Edit/Copy
  7. Click File/Close (return to "Owned" template)

Change Header and Footer data (Date and Item Number/General)

  1. Click Switch between Header and Footer button on the Header/Footer toolbar.
  2. Double-click on the word GENERAL
    • Type Notice to contractor, Section number or ITEM plus Item number (ex. NOTICE TO CONTRACTOR, SECTION 1.20, OR ITEM #0999999A) - ALL CAPS
  3. Click the word Close on the Header/Footer toolbar.
  4. Find each Owned Provision heading and change it to the appropriate format
  5. Select desired heading (by highlighting)Click Format/Style
  6. Select appropriate Style (SpecHead1 or SpecHead2 as outlined above)
  7. Click Apply

Add Owner information

  1. Click File/Properties
  2. Click into Manager box
  3. Type Owner Name, Telephone number, Unit Number (ex. Robert Raiola, 860-594-3244, Unit 1307)
  4. Click OK
  5. Click File/Save As
  6. Type corresponding name (ex: NTC – Use of State Police Officer, 1.08.03 – Prosecution and Progress, 0520036A – Asphaltic Plug joint)
  7. Click save
