IMAGERY

There are now two ways to view areal imagery in a DGN file.

  1. Attaching a Raster Image
  2. (NEW) Through View Attributes as a Background Map.

Statewide Arial Photos can be found on the UCONN/CT ECO Website. CONNECT Edition Products are now compatible with 4 band orthoimagery (MrSID4).

Note: UCONN only has NAD 83 data, if you need NAD27 the data will need to be placed in a NAD83 dgn file and projected to NAD27.

The downloaded data will be in a Zip file and should be extracted to the Share folder in your Workset.

Typically, three files will be extracted for each photo:

*.sdw

*.sid

*.xml

STATEWIDE LIDAR

Statewide LiDAR can be found on the UCONN/CT ECO Website. CONNECT Edition Products are now compatible the LAS data.

Note: UCONN only has NAD 83 data/NAVD88, if you need NAD27/NAVD29 the data will need to be placed in a NAD 83 data/NAVD88 dgn file and projected to NAD27/NAVD29.

The downloaded data will be in a Zip file and should be extracted to the Share folder in your Workset.
