The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is reminding riders of the upcoming New Haven Line schedule adjustment that will take effect on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The schedule changes follow a series of public hearings and the finalization of the most recent Service and Fare Equity (SAFE) Analysis.
The schedule change impacts weekday trains on the New Haven Line, as well as the New Canaan and Danbury branch lines. On the New Haven Line two trains have been suspended Monday through Thursday, and eight trains on Fridays, reflecting today’s commuting patterns. There are no weekend schedule changes on the New Haven Line. On the New Canaan and Danbury Lines two trains have been suspended.
“The schedule changes that go into effect this weekend reflect current ridership patterns and service demands,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Bureau Chief of Public Transportation Benjamin Limmer. “With hundreds of trains running every day, I am confident riders will continue having multiple options to get to their destination safely and efficiently.”
