Maritime Alert - East Haddam Swing Bridge

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) advises the following:

During the April 13, 2023 opening of the Swing Span on the East Haddam Swing Bridge, mechanical components incurred damage. Effective, Friday, April 14, 2023, the bridge operator will no longer perform openings to boat traffic. This will be in effect until further notice.

The contractor is working diligently on repairs.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is working to inform residents of current and upcoming construction activities through announcements such as this, as well as the project website. For more information, visit easthaddamswingbridgeproject.com.
