CTDOT Initiating Sign Replacement Projects Across the State

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has initiated projects to replace post-mounted sheet aluminum signs on every non-limited access road paved under the Vendor-In-Place (VIP) paving program that occurred between 2018 and 2021, covering approximately 672 miles of non-limited access roads throughout Connecticut. All the existing signs will be evaluated to ensure their necessity, proper placement, and compliance with current standards.

“This project will bring critical roadway signage up to a state of good repair, improving safety for motorists,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Jonathan Corilla. “All state-owned signs along these routes will be updated to ensure compliance and visibility, specifically nighttime visibility, by roadway users.”

It’s important to CTDOT to ensure the public’s feedback and thoughts are heard and included. If anyone has any questions or comments on these projects, contact Jonathan J. Corilla, Project Manager, at (860) 594-2755 or Jonathan.Corilla@ct.gov. Please reference the appropriate state project number.
