Signing and Marking Installations on Unsignalized State Roads in Eastern Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is developing plans for the systemic application of multiple low-cost proven safety countermeasures at single-lane, higher crash risk, stop-controlled intersections at the locations in the list below.  The application of these Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) proven safety countermeasures (enhanced signing and pavement markings) increases driver awareness and recognition of the intersections and potential conflicts.

There are approximately 40 locations that have been screened and identified by the CTDOT that may benefit from enhanced signing across the following 18 Municipalities in Eastern Connecticut.
