Freight Car Derailment Means Busing for Shore Line East Commuters
A freight car derailed on Shore Line East on Friday, forcing Amtrak to schedule buses for commuters between Old Saybrook and New London.
The following information has been released by Amtrak:
Eastbound:
Train 1636: departs New Haven at 4:32 pm to Old Saybrook and then a bus will run from Old Saybrook to New London.
Train 1640: departs New Haven at 5:48 to pm Old Saybrook and then a bus will run from Old Saybrook to New London.
Train 1646: departs New Haven at 6:40 to pm Old Saybrook and then a bus will run from Old Saybrook to New London.
Westbound:
Train 1691: departs New London at 6:15 pm to Old Saybrook by bus, train to New Haven.
Train 1697: departs New London at 9:05 pm to Old Saybrook by bus, train to New Haven.
Train 1699: departs New London at 10:20 pm to Old Saybrook by bus, train to New Haven.
