CTfastrak Express Bus Service Adjustments

Effective September 27, Minor Schedule Changes on Express Routes 923, 924 and 925 in Response to Customer Feedback

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced today that in continuing efforts to improve CTfastrak services, some minor modifications will be made to the schedules of CTfastrak express bus routes. These changes are being implemented as a result of comments received from passengers during the first four months of operation and from a recent customer survey, as well as field observations of travel time and on-time performance.

Effective September 27, the following changes will be made in response to commenters who requested a second bus arrival in downtown Hartford before 7:00am on the route 923 and a more reliable arrival before 7:00am on the route 925:

923 – Bristol Express

Weekdays

The 5:57AM trip from Bristol to Hartford (6:04AM from Lake Avenue, 6:09AM from Todd Street) will depart 5 minutes earlier, arriving in downtown Hartford on Main Street at 6:40AM.

The 6:17AM trip from Bristol to Hartford (6:24AM from Lake Avenue, 6:29AM from Todd Street) will depart 15 minutes earlier, arriving in downtown Hartford on Main Street at 6:50AM.

925 – Waterbury Express

Weekdays

The 5:52AM trip from Waterbury to Hartford (6:06AM from Hamilton Avenue, 6:16AM from Route 70) will depart 5 minutes earlier, arriving in downtown Hartford on Main Street at 6:50AM.

In addition, also effective September 27, all afternoon trips from Hartford to Southington & Cheshire on the 924 express route will depart 2 minutes later to spread out buses at downtown Hartford pick-up points.

Updated timetables reflecting these adjustments can be found online at www.cttransit.com, and printed schedules will be available on buses.

CTfastrak and CTtransit undergo service review several times each year, at which time comments and concerns from the riding public and observed operational efficiencies and improvements are evaluated in an effort to continuously improve service delivery. Comments specific to CTfastrak service are welcome via email to info@ctfastrak.com, and comments regarding CTtransit service should be submitted through the online feedback form at www.cttransit.com or by phone at 860-525-9181. All customers are encouraged to sign up to receive service updates by e-mail at www.cttransit.com.
