CTfastrak Conducting Rider Feedback Survey

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced today that it has started to distribute CTfastrak rider surveys along all CTfastrak express and CTfastrak local routes in order to gain customer feedback about its new transit service.

The surveys will be distributed on all CTfastrak express and local route buses, at various CTfastrak transit stations and available on the CTfastrak Web site until June 24, 2015.  "Even though it's only been 11 weeks since CTfastrak started operations, we are very interested in what our customers are thinking and needing," said Michael Sanders, transit administrator, CTDOT.  "Our goal is to be responsive to our customer base and make minor or more significant adjustments along the way."

Questions included in the surveys are designed to learn more about riders’ basic travel patterns, their use of the CTfastrak service and to gauge their satisfaction with various aspects of the service.  All riders completing the survey will be eligible to win a 31-day transit pass if contact information is provided.

The CTfastrak express and local rider route surveys are both available for completion online.  Customers can visit www.ctfastrak.com to complete the local and express rider questionnaire forms.

The CTfastrak transit system provides direct service to and from Waterbury, Cheshire, Southington, Bristol, Plainville, New Britain, Newington, West Hartford, Hartford, East Hartford and Manchester with routes that take advantage of the bus-only CTfastrak roadway.  The CTfastrak system offers a one-seat, no-transfer ride to many major regional employment, shopping and healthcare destinations as well as connections to the New Haven Line-Waterbury branch rail in Waterbury and Amtrak service in Hartford.  A new 4.5 mile multi-use trail was built parallel the CTfastrak bus-only roadway from New Britain to Newington Junction.  The department also recently launched the "CTfastrak Rewards Program," a benefits program for riders and area businesses.
