      The two Connecticut River ferries, which normally begin operations on April 1, will be delayed in opening this year.

   

      The Rocky Hill-Glastonbury ferry will be delayed for at least one week because of high-water issues.

      The Chester-Hadlyme ferry will be delayed at least two weeks because of maintenance issues.

      Once service begins, operations will continue through November 30. The ferries are operated by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
