CTrides HELPS COMMUTERS FIND AVAILABLE RAIL PARKING

AT SELECT NEW HAVEN LINE STATIONS

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) today announced a new initiative to help commuters find available parking at rail stations on the New Haven Line. Many riders may not be aware that up to 500 parking spaces are available at both the Bridgeport and Fairfield Metro railroad stations on the heavily traveled commuter rail line.

Beginning today, commuters who are interested in purchasing available parking permits for the Bridgeport or Fairfield Metro stations may contact CTrides (contact info below). Customer service staff is standing by to provide information about parking options and pricing, and can help you begin the process of obtaining parking permits for those stations.

“It has been well publicized that there are waiting lists for commuter parking at most of our rail stations on the New Haven Line.  But people should know that a significant amount of permit parking is available at these two stations,” stated DOT Commissioner James Redeker. “By having CTrides as a point of contact, commuters can learn about how convenient parking may allow them to access Connecticut’s rail system.”

For those interested in obtaining parking permits for Bridgeport and Fairfield Metro, contact CTrides at 877-CT-RIDES (877-287-4337), by email at info@ctrides.com, or through online live chat at www.ctrides.com.
