The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that it will receive funding to assist with recruiting and training individuals interested in jobs on transportation projects. 

The Federal Highway Administration will provide $105,655 in funding to provide services for individuals from underrepresented groups pursuing construction related careers.  The funds will be used to provide job readiness, pre-apprentice training and job placement assistance.  The program will also include a counseling component to assist trainees in long-term successful employment.
