Governor Rell Names Caren Kittredge of Glastonbury as Chair of Bradley Board of Directors

Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that she has named Caren Kittredge of Glastonbury to chair the Bradley International Airport Board of Directors.  Kittredge succeeds L. Scott Frantz, who was elected in November as State Senator of the 36th District.

Kittredge has broad experience in strategy, product, and marketing and is currently the Head of National Marketing for Aetna Small and Middle Market Businesses.  Prior positions at Aetna have included Disability Product Head, Head of Integrated Health and Disability, and Marketing Strategy Head for Group Insurance. Previous employers include Lincoln Financial Group, MassMutual and Connecticut Mutual.

Kittredge also serves on a number of community related organizations.  She has been appointed by the Governor to serve on the Judicial Review Council for the State of Connecticut.  She has been appointed by the Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court as a public member of the Public Service and Trust Commission.  She serves as President of the Bushnell Park Foundation and as a Commissioner of Economic Development in Glastonbury.

“Caren’s background is firmly rooted in business development and product expansion and her blend of experience and knowledge will be invaluable as Bradley International Airport continues its strategic growth,” Governor Rell said.  “Bradley is one of our greatest economic development assets, not only due to its standing as New England’s second largest airport but also for the many related industries and firms it supports.

“Encouraging business development and creating jobs creation continue to be top priorities and it is more important than ever to have a strong leadership team at Bradley to build on past success and identify long-term economic opportunities,” the Governor said. “Caren is well-suited to help lead Bradley to an even more promising future.”

Bradley International Airport is guided by the Bradley Board, a group of appointed business leaders who assist in the development of the Airport as a business. The Board works to ensure that the Airport is in touch with the demands of the public and business sectors and that it is making the most of its opportunities to contribute to the State's economic well being.

Kittredge received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hartford.
