Traffic Control Improvements in Buckland Hills Area

Manchester, CT

Manchester, CT- The Department of Transportation announced today that a contract for Traffic Control Improvements in Buckland Hills Area in the Town of Manchester will begin on Monday, June 11, 2007. Work under this project includes signalization improvement in and around the Buckland Hills Area. Ducci Electrical Contractors, Inc. of Torrington, CT will be performing this work.

Traffic Operations

Buckland Street and the I-84 off-ramps

The existing number of lanes of traffic, including turning lanes at the intersections will be maintained:

Monday through Friday, between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

I-84 on-ramps

Existing traffic operations will be maintained:

Monday through Friday, between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Construction signs and Local Police will be utilized for traffic control.

Motorists should use caution through the work zones and reduce their speed accordingly.
