WORK ZONE SAFETY AWARENESS WEEK

APRIL 2-6, 2007

What:     News Conference to kick off Connecticut Department of Transportation's "Work Zone Safety Awareness Week" campaign to promote the safety of workers and motorists in roadway work zones. The Department will also be presenting a new campaign initiative for a unique summer long “Work Zone Safety” awareness program in partnership with major state attractions and destinations.

When:    April 4, 2007, at 2 pm

Where:   DOT Rest Area on 1-84 Eastbound in Southington between Exits 28 & 30

Directions:  

From Hartford - Take I-91 South to I-691 west to I-84 east. Rest area is located approximately 1 mile on right.

From New Haven - Take I-91 North to Take exit 17 (East Main Street in Meriden) to Exit 68W and take ramp to I-691 west. Follow I-691 to I-84 east. Rest Area is located approximately 1 mile on right.
