Milling & Ramp Closures On I-95 At Exit 24
Scheduled On October 5 & 6, 2005

Bridgeport, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that milling of the asphalt pavement along I-95 northbound and southbound, at Exit 24, is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, weather permitting. 

In conjunction with the milling, the following ramp closures will be in effect at night, to complete milling of the asphalt pavement, weather permitting:

·         Exit 24 on-ramp to I-95 northbound will be closed Wednesday, October 5, from 12:00am to 5:00am.  Traffic will be detoured south along Route 1 to the Exit 23 on-ramp. 

·         Exit 24 off-ramp from I-95 southbound will be closed Thursday night,             October 6, from 11:00pm to 5:00am.  Traffic will be detoured south to the              Exit 23 off-ramp.

Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and obey the posted 45-mph speed limit, established in 1997, for the Bridgeport Corridor construction zone, which spans from Exit 24 to Exit 30 northbound and southbound on I-95.
