Hartford, Conn. -- State Transportation Commissioner Stephen E. Korta, II announced today upcoming nighttime closures on the Conlin Whitehead Highway in Hartford.

On Wednesday, October 26th from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning, intermittent traffic stops of up to 10 minutes will take place on the Conlin Whitehead Highway westbound. In addition, the eastbound Conlin Whitehead Highway will be closed during the same time period. Traffic will be detoured from Pulaski Circle to Sheldon Street to Columbus Boulevard to I-91 northbound or southbound. These closures will permit the erection of structural steel on the Columbus Boulevard Bridge. Due to predicted heavy rain and high winds, these closures have been rescheduled to the above date.
