Vegetation Management Safety Improvements on Route 91 in Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing vegetation management safety improvements on Route 91 north Exits 32 A & B and the Grove Street on-ramp from Columbus Boulevard in Hartford starting Saturday, July 13 and Saturday, July 20, 2024.

To ensure the safety of the public, CTDOT is removing dead, diseased, and decaying trees. Additionally, trees and vegetation that have grown into the clear zone, which is the safe space along the side of the roadway, are also being removed. This work helps save lives in the event of a crash or vehicle leaving the roadway.

This work is be performed by CTDOT on Saturday, July 13 and 20, 2024.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO

Motorist can except ramp and lane closure on Route 91 north exits 32 A & B and Grove Street on-ramp from Columbus Boulevard. Work will take place Saturday, July 13, 2024, and Saturday, July 20, 2024. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists around the work zone. Working hours will be from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
