The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that the right shoulder will be closed and there will be a traffic shift, lane width reduction on I-84 east and westbound between exits 71 and 72 beginning on June 17, 2024. The shoulder closure and lane shifts are required to reconstruct the existing culvert carrying I-84 over Upper Ruby Brook.
CTDOT Project No. 0160-0152 was awarded to Dayton Construction Company, Inc. at a cost of $2,394,967.50 on November 28, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed November 29, 2024. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
