The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a pavement preservation project on routes 111 and 133 will begin on April 7, 2024. Asphalt rubber chip seals will occur on Route 133 from the Intersection with Northrup Street to the Intersection with Route 67 and Monroe, Route 111 from the Intersection with Route 110 to the Intersection with the Masuk High School driveway.

This project aims to improve the existing wearing surface and extend the life of the pavement through the use of the asphalt rubberized chip seal. It will also include the installation of concrete sidewalk ramps, centerline rumble strips, replacement of sheet signs, resetting of catch basin tops, cleaning of existing catch basins, replacement of metal beam rail, and the installation of pavement markings.
