The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the shift of traffic operations to Stage 2S for the new southern roundabout on Route 82 and 154 in Haddam will begin on June 21, 2024. This traffic orientation will shift traffic on the Route 82 connector to the southeast and reduce the roadway to 1 lane in each direction at the intersection of Route 154. The purpose of this is to allow for construction of the roundabout to start on the northwest side of the road.
CTDOT Project No. 0060-0160 was awarded to Richards Corporation at a cost of $14,660,000.00 on December 27, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed November 2, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in the Town of Haddam.
