Bridge Joint Repair: Route 8 in Thomaston
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that bridge joint repairs will take place beginning Monday, April 22 through Friday, May 31, 2024. The project consists of repairs to bridge joints on between Exit 40 and 38 on Route 8 southbound in Thomaston.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect alternating lanes to be closed at Exit 40 on Route 8 southbound in Thomaston. Traffic control signing patterns and crash units will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday -Friday. No work will be performed on the Memorial Day Holiday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
