Bridge Joint Plate Removal: Interstate 91 Southbound in New Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge joint plate removal project will start on Monday, March 4, 2024, on Interstate 91 southbound in New Haven. The project consists of bridge joint plate removal on Interstate 91 Southbound in New Haven between Exits 8 (Middletown Ave.) and Exits 3 (Trumbull St.).

 

This project is scheduled to occur on the morning of Monday, March 4, 2024, through the afternoon of Friday, April 5, 2024.

 

The work is included in CTDOT’s 2024 bridge maintenance program to support State Forces with bridge repairs with work being performed by State Forces.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect left lane closures to occur on Interstate 91 southbound in New Haven between Exits 8 (Middletown Ave.) and Exits 3 (Trumbull St.) Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule might become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
