CTDOT is announcing that asphaltic plug joint installations will be performed on bridges on I-395 north and southbound in Plainfield and Griswold starting Monday, April 8, 2024. This will be for replacement of bridge joints on Bridge numbers: 292,293,294,295,297,298,299,300,301,302 and 304 on I-395 north and southbound. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, April 8 to Friday, June 21, 2024. No work will be performed on May 27, 2024, Memorial Day.
This project is included in CTDOT’s Bridge Maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surfaces Applications Ltd.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect alternating lane closures on I-395 from I-395 northbound overpass of Norman Road to the Plainfield northbound service plaza and I-395 southbound from the Plainfield southbound service plaza to Norman Road in Griswold. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The hours for this project are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the day and 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. during the night.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
