The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing closures to both the I-91 south and northbound Exit 42 ramps in Windsor for Wrong Way Detection Installations starting on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
This project is administered by CTDOT Electrical Sign Installation, District 1.

Motorists can expect exit ramp closures on I-91 south and northbound Exit 42 in Windsor Locks. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists around the work zone.
Traffic looking for Exit 42 southbound will be detoured to route 75, take Exit 38, continue left onto route 75, take a left to I-91 northbound and then proceed to Exit 42.
Traffic looking for Exit 42 northbound will be detoured to Exit 45, take a left off the off-ramp to route 140 then a left to I-91 southbound and proceed to Exit 42.
The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
