Weekend Right Lane Closure on I-84 Westbound
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that, in order to facilitate construction work associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury, the right lane on I-84 Westbound will be closed from 8:00 PM Friday May 12, 2023, to 6:00 AM Monday May 15, 2023.
Motorists are advised that the right lane (approaching Union Street on-ramp) on I-84 Westbound will be closed from 8:00 PM Friday May 12, 2023, to 6:00 AM Monday May 15, 2023. This lane closure is necessary to complete construction activities associated with the new auxiliary lane and the Union Street on-ramp.
The project consists of the rehabilitation of numerous bridges located within the Route 8 and I-84 Interchange (DOT Project No. 151-326/151-312/151-313) and was awarded to Walsh Construction Company at a cost of $152,960,945.27 on April 18, 2018.
