Tree & Vegetation Removal Project: Route 1 in Stonington
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a tree and vegetation removal project will be performed on Route 1 in Stonington northbound and southbound starting on Monday, September 18 through Friday, October 13, 2023.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect right-lane and shoulder closures on Route 1 from Mason’s Island Road to Buzzi Memorials in Stonington. One (1) state trooper, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
