Safety Improvement Project on Route 2 in Colchester and Marlborough
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on Route 2 westbound in Colchester and Route 2 eastbound in Marlborough.
This project is scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 9, 2023, through Friday, March 24, 2023.
This work is being performed by Total Fence.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 2 westbound between Parum Road and Route 11 in Colchester and Route 2 eastbound at the left lane and shoulder off-ramp at Exit 12 and the left lane at Park Road overpass in Marlborough. State traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
