Safety Improvement Project: Guiderail and Attenuator Installation on Interstate 91 Northbound and Southbound in Wallingford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on Interstate 91 northbound and southbound in Wallingford starting on Monday, November 6 through Friday, December 8, 2023.
This project is included in the CTDOT’s safety improvement program and is being performed by Total Fence.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect left lane closure on Interstate 91 southbound, between exit 14 (East Center St) and Exit 13 (Wharton Brook Connector) in Wallingford and a left lane closure on Interstate 91 northbound between Exit 12 (Washington Ave.) and Exit 14 (East Center St). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
No work will occur on Friday, November 10, 2023, for Veteran’s Day and during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend from Wednesday, November 22 through Sunday, November 26, 2023. Work will resume on Monday, November 27, 2023.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
