Safety Improvement Project: Route 6 in Chaplin, Hampton, and Brooklyn
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on Route 6 in Chaplin, Hampton and Brooklyn starting on Sunday, August 6 to Friday, August 18, 2023. The project consists of installing rumble strips on Route 6 in Chaplin, Hampton, and Brooklyn.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 6 from the Chaplin town line through Hampton to the Brooklyn town line. One (1) state trooper, crash attenuator vehicles, and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday evening – Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
