The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that Crescent Road in Westport will be closed to through traffic from U.S. Route 1 (McDonald’s) to 59 Crescent Rd. starting on Tuesday, September 5 to Monday, September 18, 2023. This work will include removal of the existing pavement, installation of a new roadbed, pavement, and traffic markings. This work will also help to create a new safer alignment of the intersection Crescent Road and U.S. Route 1 (Post Road East).
CTDOT Project No. 0158-0215 was awarded to Guerrera Construction on December 27, 2022, at a cost of $12,992,995.50. It is scheduled for completion in April 2024. This project is administered by the Office of Construction, District 3, New Haven.
DETOUR INFO:
Crescent Road will be closed to through traffic from U.S. Route 1 at McDonald’s to 59 Crescent Road. Local road access will be available at the other end of Crescent Road and U.S. 1.
Message boards and detour signs with closure dates are installed warning drivers of this closure.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving in this area.
