The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is developing plans to rehabilitate the pavement on Route 15 in Orange, Woodbridge and New Haven starting in Spring 2024. The project involves rehabilitating the pavement on north and southbound Route 15 from approximately 1 mile south of the Derby-Milford Road overpass in Orange (mile marker 39.55) to the southern entrance to the Heroes Tunnel in New Haven (mile marker 47.11).
The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in September 2023, with construction anticipated to start in the spring of 2024, assuming acceptance of the project, availability of funding and receipt of any required right of-way and environmental permits. This project will be undertaken with 0% federal and 100% state funds.
It’s important to CTDOT to ensure the public’s feedback and thoughts are heard and included. If anyone has any questions or comments on these projects, please contact Scott Bushee, PE, Principal Engineer, at (860) 594-2079 or by email at scott.bushee@ct.gov.
