Pavement Rehabilitation Project in Darien and Norwalk on I95

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is developing plans to rehabilitate the pavement on Interstate 95 in Darien and Norwalk starting Spring 2024. The project involves rehabilitating the pavement on northbound and southbound Interstate 95 from approximately 800 feet south of the Noroton Avenue overpass in Darien (mile marker 10.68) to the termini of the Donald F. Reid Memorial Bridge in Norwalk (mile marker 16.08).

The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in September 2023, with construction anticipated to start in the spring of 2024, assuming acceptance of the project, availability of funding and receipt of any required right-of-way and environmental permits. This project will be undertaken with 0% federal and 100% state funds.

It’s important to CTDOT to ensure the public’s feedback and thoughts are heard and included. If anyone has any questions or comments on these projects, please contact Scott Bushee, PE, Principal Engineer, at (860) 594-2079 or by email at scott.bushee@ct.gov.
