Nighttime Bridge Repairs Route 8 in Harwinton through Torrington
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing nighttime bridge repairs to take place starting on Monday May 15, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Route 8 Northbound and Southbound in Harwinton and Torrington from Exit 42 to Exit 45. Expected completion date is July 17, 2023.
The project consists of Bridge Deck repairs on Route 8 Northbound and Southbound in Harwinton and Torrington, Exit 42 to Exit 45.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect alternating lane closures on Route 8 Northbound & Southbound between the Exits of 42 & 45. Traffic control personnel and detour patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday - Thursday)
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
