Milling and Resurfacing Route 179 in Canton
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 179 in Canton from Route 44 to Route 309.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.76 mile segment of Route 179. The milling of this project is scheduled to start on Monday June 5, 2023 and be completed Tuesday June 6, 2023. The resurfacing of this project is scheduled to start on Tuesday June 6, 2023 and be completed on Friday June 16, 2023.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating Traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday).
