Milling and Resurfacing Route 136 in Norwalk
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 136 in Norwalk.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.82 miles of Route 136 in Norwalk. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, May 14, 2023, through Friday May 26, 2023. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, May 14, 2023 through Thursday, May 14, 2023. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, May 21, 2023 through Friday, May 26, 2023.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 136 from McKinley Street to Meadow Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning)
No work will be performed from 6:00 am Friday May 26, 2023, until 8:00 pm Tuesday May 30, 2023, due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
